The MOTOTRBO R7Ex FKP (Full Keypad) is an ATEX and IECEx certified digital DMR portable radio featuring a full keypad, a 1.7" color display, up to 108 phons speech output, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GNSS location tracking, and IP66/IP68 ingress protection.
Radio is available in two variants: R7Ex(GAS GROUP IIA) or R7Ex(GAS GROUP IIC).

The MOTOTRBO R7Ex FKP is engineered to provide maximum safety for personnel working in high-risk, potentially explosive environments. Fully certified to ATEX and IECEx standards, it prevents potential ignition risks when flammable gases, vapors, mists, or conductive dusts are present. Its distinctive blue accents allow immediate visual identification of ATEX-safe devices in the field, while a built-in sensor alerts users if a non-ATEX battery is attached.
Equipped with a full numeric keypad and a crisp 1.7" color screen, the R7Ex FKP enables workers to compose freeform text messages, manage contact lists, and utilize Text-to-Speech readout. Designed for extreme noise, its 2.5 W speaker with dynamic Volume Boost delivers speech loudness up to 108 phons. AI-trained noise cancellation filters out heavy machinery, fan, and pump background noise.


The R7Ex FKP undergoes stringent ATEX IP66 and IP68 testing, including thermal endurance and impact conditioning before water submersion tests. Worker protection is reinforced through Fall Alert (Man Down), Lone Worker, a prominent emergency button, and location tracking via GNSS and Bluetooth 5.2. Integrated Wi-Fi supports over-the-air programming (OTAP) and seamless integration with ATEX-certified headsets.
