The MOTOTRBO DP4801 Ex is a top-tier intrinsically safe digital radio designed for workers in extreme, high-risk environments such as oil rigs, refineries, chemical plants, and mines. Featuring a large colour display and a full keypad, it allows users to read text messages, view contact lists, and manage caller IDs with total visual clarity. Its bright blue casing ensures immediate visual identification as an ATEX-certified device.
Worker safety is built into the radio with an integrated Man Down accelerometer and Lone Worker mode that automatically trigger emergency calls if a fall or lack of movement is detected. A prominent orange emergency button enables quick calls for help, while the integrated GPS receiver delivers real-time location tracking back to dispatchers.
Equipped with Intelligent Audio technology, the DP4801 Ex dynamically suppresses background noise from engines and heavy machinery. It scales smoothly across all MOTOTRBO system architectures, from IP Site Connect and Capacity Plus to multi-site Capacity Max trunking networks (DMR Tier III) supporting up to 3,000 users per site. High-capacity IMPRES™ batteries power long shifts for up to 19 hours in digital mode.
