Certified to the highest ATEX and IECEx standards with IP67 ingress protection.
Product features:
ATEX/IECEx certified – highest safety rating for explosive gas, combustible dust, and mining environments
DMR – analogue and digital operation supporting IP Site Connect, Capacity Plus, and Linked Capacity Plus
Integrated Man Down and Lone Worker safety features for automatic emergency alerting
Built-in GPS receiver for real-time workforce location tracking • Product description
The MOTOTRBO DP4401 Ex is engineered to deliver reliable communications in extreme environments such as oil rigs, refineries, chemical plants, and mines. Certified to the highest ATEX and IECEx intrinsically safe ratings, it operates safely in the presence of explosive gases, combustible dusts, or chemical vapors. Its distinctive bright blue casing allows instant visual confirmation of ATEX certification.
Worker safety is built-in with an integrated Man Down sensor and Lone Worker mode that automatically trigger emergency calls if an incident occurs. A prominent, easy-to-access orange emergency button allows workers to summon assistance with a single press, while integrated GPS tracking provides location visibility across field operations.

Equipped with Intelligent Audio technology, the DP4401 Ex automatically filters background noise from heavy machinery and engines. It supports MOTOTRBO trunking and multi-site architectures, including IP Site Connect and Capacity Plus. High-capacity IMPRES™ batteries supply power for up to 19 hours in digital mode.
The MOTOTRBO DP4401 Ex is designed for personnel operating in hazardous, high-risk industrial environments where display screens are not required.
Oil, gas, and petrochemicals: safe, intrinsically safe voice communications in flammable vapor zones.
Underground and surface mining: certified protection against methane and coal dust hazards (ATEX Group I M2).
Heavy manufacturing and processing: reliable operation in dusty, wet, and high-noise environments.
