The Motorola MXP660 is a rugged, lightweight multi-bearer TETRA handheld radio designed to maintain connectivity regardless of field conditions. Equipped with Class 3 (2.8 W) transmit power capability and high receiver sensitivity, it maximizes TETRA coverage in fringe areas. Should users travel beyond TETRA network range, DIMETRA Connect seamlessly transitions voice calls and data to broadband LTE or Wi-Fi networks without user intervention, preserving talkgroups and workflows.
Engineered for extreme noise environments, the MXP660 integrates AI-trained machine-learning algorithms to suppress sirens, engine roar, crowd noise, and wind while isolating the speaker's voice. Its 2 W internal speaker delivers up to 105 phons of speech clarity. The ergonomic T-bar grip structure allows safe, tactile navigation of side controls and the glove-friendly PTT button without looking at the device.
Security is fortified through Air Interface Encryption (TEA1-3, hardware-ready for TEA5-7) and End-to-End Encryption (AES128/256 via FIPS 140-2 Level 3 HSM). Bluetooth 5.3 enables automated body-worn camera recording (e.g., VB400) upon emergency activation, while NFC permits rapid tap-to-pair functionality. High-speed LTE OTAP updates slash maintenance downtime, while backward compatibility preserves existing MXP600 chargers and batteries.
